Sendial

Sendial is a shopping and home delivery service designed for those in our community who are physically unable to shop for themselves. This service is available on a temporary or permanent basis for a nominal delivery fee of $5.

Ideal for the stay-at-home senior, those who have just given birth, had a major surgery or are recovering from an illness, Sendial is designed to help you or your loved ones conveniently order groceries and then have it delivered right to your home. 

Getting Started with Sendial

  1. Contact Us
  2. Apply
    • Fax the completed application form to (250) 483-1694.
  3. Schedule
    • Thrifty Foods Customer Service representatives contact you about the availability of Sendial in your area and for those in our home delivery areas, service is scheduled.
  4. Order
    • One of our fantastic Sendial volunteers calls you on your scheduled day and takes your order for either a weekly or bi-weekly delivery.
  5. Delivery
    • Our helpful volunteers shop your order and then one of our friendly Thrifty Foods drivers delivers it to right to your door.

Sendial Volunteers

Originally created in 1987 by a Thrifty Foods customer named Prue Cunningham, Sendial is now carried out by an amazing group of community-based volunteers who give of their time and their energy to take orders and shop for fresh food for you or your loved one. Our dedicated volunteers and friendly store staff work together to support those in need in our community.
