Thrifty Foods has always followed strict policies on where our products come from, how they are harvested, and how we promote them to our customers. Thrifty Foods fully supports sustainable farming methods and fair trade certification programs. Many products in our stores are fair or fairly traded or have been certified by "Fair Trade" and the Rainforest Alliance.
Rainforest Alliance
Rainforest Alliance is an organization dedicated to producing and harvesting products in an environmentally and socially responsible manner using standards that are fundamentally similar to those endorsed by the organization Fair Trade.

Fair Trade
The Fair Trade Federation is an association of wholesalers, retailers and producers whose members are committed to social and environmental responsible standards and to providing fair wages and good employment opportunities to economically disadvantaged farmers worldwide.
Fairtrade International sets international Fairtrade standards and its members produce or promote products that carry the FAIRTRADE Certification Mark.
