Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for supporting the Pharmacy Manager and staff Pharmacists in serving the community. The Pharmacy Technician provides customer service, and performs duties in compliance with the Standards of Practice of the College.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends
- Training – preferred pharmacy technician diploma from Camosun College or a certified College or a minimum of 1 years experience in a dispensary.
- Experience with pharmacy computer systems, with knowledge of Kroll Windows software program an asset
Responsibilities:
- Maintains and supports a professional and effective relationship with the Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacists and technicians
- Performs technical dispensing duties as directed by the Pharmacy manager, in a professional and confidential manner
- Supports the company’s vision and customer service philosophies, merchandising programs, pricing programs and labour programs to ensure conformity through the company.
- Complies with all Pharmacy and related procedures and programs in compliance with company, provincial, and federal regulations.
- Respects the values and abilities of colleagues and works as a member of the Thrifty Foods team.
