Job Summary
The General Warehouse Worker is responsible for carrying out the full range of duties of the position in a professional, responsible, accurate and timely fashion. The General Warehouse Worker delivers the highest level of customer service and satisfaction while demonstrating excellent teamwork, interpersonal skills, and commitment to the success of the Thrifty Foods team.
Job Requirements
The successful applicant will:
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge and understanding of all applicable Thrifty Foods policies and procedures.
- Keeps work area clean, safe and presentable at all times.
- Operates equipment correctly and performs duties in a safety conscious manner. Responds promptly and effectively to any safety or operational equipment problems.
- Be able to operate all power equipment: forklifts, reach trucks and power jacks.
- Is consistently dependable, conscientious, and punctual.
- Keeps current on products, codes and warehouse layout.
- Ensures that products are handled, organized and stored to minimize damage and spoilage.
- Picks and completes all orders in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.
- Follows approved procedures for code dating and rotation of products.
- Loads delivery vehicles and pallets.
- Takes inventory and piece count, as required.
- Monitors all stock levels to ensure availability and accessibility of stock.
- Be well organized, self motivated and show lots of
initiative.
- Be a team player and have exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Be able to provide exceptional internal and external customer service.
