James Bay Thrifty Foods opened August 12th, 1986 with 45 employees. Over 14,000 customers gave us a warm welcome that week. On May 7th, 1999 the store re-opened with another 9,000 sq ft.- this time with the help of over 130 employees. 27,931 customers came to support us that week. The James Bay community has been a loyal supporter of Thrifty Foods through and through.
The store went through another reno in 2007, which included adding a floral shop and widening the aisles for a better shopping experience. This time with the help of over 170 employees on staff. This was a success again due to the loyal customers in James Bay community. Thank-you for your continued support.
