Quik's Farm

Flowers at Quik's Farm
Meet the Quiks, the family team brightening up our homes with beautiful bouquets grown in Chilliwack, BC and our partners since 2012.

• Harry Quik immigrated  from the Netherlands in 1989. During his first year in Canada, he worked a few odd jobs to save up to buy the land that now houses Quik’s Farm.

• Harry’s first crop was potatoes, which he had learned to grow from his father. However, friends in the area who were flower growers started to steer him into the floral business.

• Today, Harry is helped by his three sons at Quik’s Farm: his oldest son Andries, Leo and youngest son Corné.

• Andries has been involved with the family business the longest. He would always work on the farm after school – he enjoyed being in the greenhouses. Today, he runs the chrysanthemum program that he developed back in 2005.

 • Leo also worked in the greenhouses after school, but changed industries to work at a dairy farm for several of his high school years.

• After high school, Leo decided to leave the dairy industry – where he had experienced a lot of growth and first-hand education – to live in the Netherlands for a year. He worked for a potato grower, getting in touch with his family roots.

• While Leo was in the Netherlands, Quik’s Farm was adapting to industry changes. Harry offered his son a job at the farm, and Leo returned just in time to enjoy the Vancouver Winter Olympics in 2010. Today he is the sales manager for Quik’s Farm.

• Harry’s youngest son, Corné joined the team 3 years ago. He manages an outdoor field location 15 minutes from the original farm where the family grows seasonal flowers.

 • This team takes pride in the quality and freshness of their flowers while striving to create environmentally sustainable products.

• They are also proud that they employ as many local people as they do. The Quik’s work with the Dutch community in Chilliwack to fund a private school, a church, and other charitable organizations in China and South Africa. Making an impact is important to them.

Brighten up your loved one’s day with a beautiful bouquet from Quik’s Farm! These flowers are happiest when kept out of direct sunlight with fresh water, and they keep especially well if you cut the ends every few days.
