How to cook 1 cup rice (about 4 servings):

  1. Jade Pearl Rice: Place 1 cup rice, 1 1/2 cups water and pinch salt in a pot. Bring to boil over high heat. Cover tightly, turn heat to low and cook rice 18-20 minutes, until tender. Let stand a few minutes, fluff and serve.
  2. Wild Rice: Rinse 1 cup wild rice in cold water, drain well and place in pot. Add 4 cups cold water. Bring rice to a slow simmer and cook until tender, about 25-35 minutes. Drain and serve or use as needed.
  3. Forbidden, Bhutanese, & Volcano Rice: Rinse 1 cup rice in cold water, drain well and place in pot. Add 1 3/4 cups water and a pinch salt. Bring to a boil over high heat. Cover, turn heat to low and cook until rice tender, about 30-35 minutes, depending on desired chewiness. Let stand a few minutes, fluff and serve.
