“In a nutshell, my passion is empowering people to take charge of their health. Our bodies are like incredible machines. When you feed your body friendly, whole, unprocessed foods, it’s amazing how much better it will function, giving you better moods, robust energy and vitality. I love helping people discover their best self!" - Jessalyn O’Donnell, Registered Dietitian & Nutrition Services Manager
Healthy eating is much simpler than you might think. You don’t have to understand textbooks full of science, and you certainly don’t have to be in-the-know on the latest fad lists of so-called “good foods” or “bad foods”. Just stick to Jessalyn’s three rules for healthy eating:
- Choose whole foods when possible: whole grains are always better than refined; whole fruits are always better than juices.
- Choose foods made from a short a list of recognizable ingredients. If the ingredients sound like they belong in a chemistry lab, they probably don’t belong in your body.
- Allow some room for fun! Healthy eating is important but don’t forget to enjoy life, even if that means treating yourself once in a while to foods that laugh in the face of Rules 1 and 2.
