Place the first 6 ingredients in a medium bowl and mix until smooth. Now mix in the tuna, artichokes and basil. Transfer to a serving bowl, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Can be made several hours before needed.

Recipe Options: Instead of basil, try another fresh herb in the dip, such as oregano. Instead of regular versions of them, make the dip with low-fat versions of sour cream and mayonnaise.

Serving Suggestions

To create a colourful appetizer to bring to a party, set the bowl of spread on a pretty platter. Set an assortment of crackers and/or bread slices on one side of the dip on the platter. On the other side of the dip, artfully arrange a selection of crisp, raw vegetables, such as snow or snap peas, small cauliflower and broccoli florets, small wedges of red and yellow bell peppers, cucumber sticks and mini carrots.
