Brush salmon with oil and then season with salt and pepper. Grill or broil 4-5 minutes per side over medium-high heat, or until cooked through. Serve each piece with a generous spoonful of the relish.
Note: To economize, you can cut the salmon steaks yourself from the whole salmon that's on ad this week. Start by cutting away the fins, and then with a sharp knife cut steaks that are about 1 inch thick. Unused salmon can be wrapped and kept frozen for a later use.
