  1. Make the dressing by combining the first 6 ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Place the avocado and lemon juice in a medium bowl and toss to combine.
  3. Line a platter with lettuce and arrange the orange slices over them. Top with onion and avocado. Drizzle with the dressing and sprinkle with cilantro or mint.

For a two citrus taste, replace two of the oranges with a medium to large grapefruit, peeled and sliced as described for the oranges in the recipe. Instead of leaf or butter lettuce, arrange the orange, avocado and red onion on bed of spinach or baby mixed salad greens.
