Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Combine the meatball ingredients in a bowl. Roll into 1" balls and place on a non-stick or parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake until cooked, about 20 minutes. While the meatballs are baking, place the sauce ingredients into your slow cooker and stir to combine. When the meatballs are cooked, drain the excess fat and then add them to the sauce. Cover and cook on low heat for 8 hours.
Note: This recipe is designed for an oval-shaped slow cooker with a 5 litre or more capacity.
