Method

Place the oven rack 6 inches beneath the broiler. Preheat the broiler. Place the barbecue sauce, beer, honey, lime juice and hot pepper sauce in your slow cooker and whisk to combine. Place the wings, chili powder, cumin and salt in a bowl and toss to combine. Place the wings on a non-stick baking sheet and broil 2 to 3 minutes per side side, or until golden brown. Place the wings in your slow cooker and stir to coat them with the sauce. Cover and cook the wings on the high setting for 4 hours.

Note: This recipe is designed for an oval-shaped slow cooker with a 5 litre or more capacity.
