Grease a 9" x 13" baking dish with 1 Tbsp. of the butter. Slice yams into 1/2" rounds and set in overlapping rows in the baking dish. Place the fruit juices, honey, raisins, spices and remaining butter in a pot. Heat just until the butter melts; pour over the yams. Sprinkle yams with almonds, salt and pepper. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F, for 25 to 30 minutes, or until they are hot and nicely glazed.
