How to Care for Roses

Unlike true love, your cut flowers will not last forever. Follow these tips for keeping them looking lovely and fresh as long as you can.

Step 1

Trim at least 1 inch of the stems off at a 45 degree angle so the flowers can absorb more water.

Step 2

Remove excess leaves and flowers that sit under the water line of your vase. Leaves and flowers that are submerged will rot faster, and contaminate the water.

Step 3

Use fresh clean water with flower food, available in our floral departments, and change every other day.
