Step 1:

Assemble ingredients: 1 (300 gram) bag fresh or frozen cranberries, 1 medium ripe pear, peeled and cut into small cubes, 1 cup orange marmalade, 1/2 cup orange juice, 3 Tbsp. brown sugar, 2 tsp. chopped fresh ginger, and pinches of ground cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.

Step 2:

Place ingredients in a pot and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Stir occasionally for 15 minutes or until cranberries begin to fall apart and a sauce forms around them.

Step 3:

Cool the sauce to room temperature, and transfer to a tightly sealing jar and refrigerate until needed. Sauce will keep for several days. Spoon into a serving bowl when needed.
