How to Prepare Spaghetti Squash

Spaghetti Squash is an edible squash with slightly stringy flesh which when cooked has a texture and appearance like that of spaghetti. Follow our 3 steps to prepare your squash in the oven.

Step 1:

Preheat oven to 375'F. Cut squash lengthwise in half. Scrape out seeds and loose membranes.

Step 2:

Place squash halves, cut side down, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Baked 45 to 60 minutes (depending on size), or until flesh is tender and can be easily pierced with a fork.

Step 3:

Cool squash a few minutes, and then use a fork to gently scrape and pull the squash into strands. Serve tossed with melted butter, salt and pepper, or dress up more fancifully, with such things as goat cheese, extra virgin olive oil and fresh herbs.
