Try these snack and lunch ideas for school or work. Simply layer ingredients in a jar for a fun and portable way to enjoy a meal!

Hummus and Veggie Jar with Fruit
In a wide-mouth 500 mL canning jar, place 1/2 cup hummus, or to taste. Stand raw vegetables in hummus, such as sticks of cucumber, bell pepper, celery, mini carrots and cherry tomatoes. Top with bite-sized fruit, such as grapes and berries. You could also serve this with pita bread.

Pasta Salad Jar
In a wide-mouth 500 mL canning jar, adding the ingredients to taste, layer ranch salad dressing or tzatziki, shredded lettuce, bite-sized pasta, cubes of ham or chicken, sliced cherry tomatoes and other raw vegetables, and cubes of havarti or other cheese.

Taco Salad Jar
In a wide-mouth 500 mL canning jar, adding the ingredients to taste, layer salsa, corn kernels, shredded lettuce, black beans, sour cream or yogurt, and grated cheddar or Jack cheese. Accompany with tortilla chips.
