Sendial is made possible by hundreds of dedicated volunteers, who take and shop customer orders. In addition to helping individuals in need, volunteers have fun, socially connect with a wide range of people, build friendships, and are provided with ongoing learning opportunities. Volunteer commitment is a 2-4 hour shift per week. Shifts are typically scheduled on weekday mornings. Days of service vary by location.

Sendial Phoner
Purpose: To phone Sendial customers and accurately complete a Sendial Order Form for each customer.
Qualifications
- Ability to speak slowly and clearly
- Ability to write or print neatly when completing Sendial Order Forms
- Ability to pay attention to detail and to document details accurately
- Willingness to ask questions to customers and get as much product information as possible
- Willingness to take ongoing instruction
- An understanding of the Sendial philosophy and aims
Time Commitment: 3-4 hour shift per week
Sendial Shopper
Purpose: To shop Sendial customer orders accurately as outlined on the Sendial Order Forms.
Qualifications
- Ability to walk throughout the store and select items as outlined on the Sendial Order Form
- Ability to pay attention to detail and select items accurately
- Willingness to phone customers to clarify items and/or identify a suitable alternative if requested item not available
- Willingness to take ongoing instruction
- An understanding of the Sendial philosophy and aims
Time Commitment: 3-4 hour shift per week
