How to Make Wontons

Simmer and add homemade wontons to a soup, or deep-fry until cooked and golden and serve with a dip.

Step 1:

Set a few wonton wrappers on a work surface. Lightly brush and moisten edges of wrappers with water.

Step 2:

Place 2 tsp. of your filling in the centre of the wrapper. Fold wrappers in half lengthwise, pressing firmly on the edges to seal.

Step 3:

Pull the two bottom corners together so they overlap, and then press firmly together. Set wontons, not touching, on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Repeat with the other wontons you want to make.
