How to turn your BBQ into a Smoker

Here’s how you can add the extra flavour to your grill favourites by turning your BBQ into a smoker.

Steps

  1. Soak the desired flavour of wood chips in cold, clean water for at least 30 mins. Drain well.
  2. Wrap wood chips in aluminum foil and puncture with a fork to create holes on the top side.
  3. Ignite one side of the grill and place the foil-covered wood chips directly above once desired temperature is achieved.
  4. Place your protein choice on the opposite side for the indirect cooking method and the lid closed to keep the temperature consistent.
  5. Smoke for the specified time of your protein choice to reach recommended internal temperature
  6. Replace wood chip bundle as required if smoker stops. For best results, make sure to season well prior to smoking.
