How to Cut a Mango

Mangoes are definitely one of the trickier fruits to cut and it is hard not to end up with a mushy mess and sticky hands.
  1. For more consistent cubes that look lovely in a salad or on a dessert, start by cutting the washed mango lengthwise on both sides of the oblong pit.
  2. Then, cut the flesh of each mango half into small cubes, being careful not to break through the skin.
  3. Turn the mango half “inside out” so that the flesh looks like it is about to fall off the skin.
  4. Finally, using a sharp knife, carefully separate all the succulent mango flesh from the skin and into a bowl.
