How to Cut a Mango
Mangoes are definitely one of the trickier fruits to cut and it is hard not to end up with a mushy mess and sticky hands.
- For more consistent cubes that look lovely in a salad or on a dessert, start by cutting the washed mango lengthwise on both sides of the oblong pit.
- Then, cut the flesh of each mango half into small cubes, being careful not to break through the skin.
- Turn the mango half “inside out” so that the flesh looks like it is about to fall off the skin.
- Finally, using a sharp knife, carefully separate all the succulent mango flesh from the skin and into a bowl.
