Combine the first 8 ingredients in a small bowl. Transfer to a serving dish; cover and refrigerate until needed. Place 1/3 of the salad greens in a decorative bowl. Top with 1/3 of the pear slices, cheese and almonds. Set in another 1/3 of the salad greens, and then top with 1/3 more of the pear slices, cheese and almonds.
Repeat these steps once more.
Set the salad on the table with the dressing alongside. Let diners plate the salad and top it with dressing.
