  1. Place the cream in a small pot. Warm over medium heat until the cream comes to just below a boil. Add the chocolate and whisk until it is melted and a smooth mixture is created. Mix in the orange liqueur.
  2. Quickly transfer chocolate mixture to a small heatproof bowl and serve with fresh fruit for dipping. 

Note: Reheat any leftover chocolate mixture in the microwave the next day or two and drizzle over ice cream or slices of cake.

Recipe Options: Instead of just strawberries, serve the hot chocolate with other type of fruits for dipping. The possibilities include wedges of kiwi, cubes of fresh pineapple, slices of star fruit, slices of banana, and cubes of papaya. For a sweeter taste, instead of dark chocolate, use milk chocolate in the fondue.

Serving Suggestions

Serve this chocolaty treat with a glass of dessert wine, liqueur or fortified wine, such as BC ice wine, orange liqueur, or blackberry port.
