Combine the first 7 ingredients in a shallow-sided container just large enough to hold the steak. Prick the steak(s) all over with a fork. Then place in the dish, turning to coat. Cover and marinate in the fridge overnight, turning occasionally. Preheat the grill to medium, then lightly oil. Season the steak with salt and cooked to the desired degree of doneness. Allow 2 to 3 minutes per side for rare, to medium rare and 3 to 4 minutes for medium. Rest a few minutes after cooking, then thinly slice, arrange on a platter and serve.
