Method

Place the sauce ingredients in food processor and puree. Place in a pot and simmer 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from the heat. Serve sauce warm or cold.

Combine the first six ingredients for the prawns in a bowl. Add the prawns and toss to coat. Marinate 20 minutes. Thread the prawns on one end of the skewers. Grill over medium high 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until just cooked through. Serve the sauce alongside for dipping.

Note: If you can not find 6-inch wooden skewers, simply cut longer ones in half.

Serving Suggestions

To make a main-course of these prawns, serve three prawns per person and accompany with steamed rice and vegetable stir fry. Or, to make things easy on you, accompany with a couple of the Asian-style dishes available in our deli department.
