Heat the oil in your deep-fat fryer to 350 degrees F. In a bowl, whisk together the beer, 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil and the egg. Place the flour, baking powder, salt, paprika and white pepper in another bowl and whisk to combine. Whisk the dry ingredients into the wet until just combined. Dip the fish fillets in the batter and coat them evenly. Deep-fry for 4 to 5 minutes, or until the fish is golden brown and cooked through.
