Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Combine the first 5 ingredients in a bowl. Spoon the mixture into an 8" x 8" baking dish.

Combine the remaining ingredients, except butter, in another bowl. Add the butter and use your fingertips to mix and thoroughly blend it into the other ingredients. Sprinkle the oat mixture on the mango mixture. Bake until golden brown and bubbling, about 30 to 35 minutes.

Note: The mango in this recipe was cut into ½" cubes. If desired, you could top portions of this dessert with whipped cream or ice cream.

Recipe Options: To add a spicy, ginger taste to this crumble, finely chop two or three pieces of candied ginger and mix it into the mango mixture. You can buy candied ginger in our bulk foods department.  Or make mango blueberry crumble by replacing one and half cups of the cubed mango with one and half cups of fresh or frozen blueberries.

Serving Suggestions

If you are serving this dessert just to adults, make rum-flavoured whipped cream to dollop on top of the crumble. To make it, place one cup of whipping cream in a bowl and beat until soft peaks form. Add three tablespoons icing sugar, one to two tablespoons rum, and half teaspoon pure vanilla extract to the cream. Beat until stiff peaks form. Cover and refrigerate the whipped cream until needed.
