Place the salmon in a single layer in a sided dish. Combine remaining ingredients, except lime slices and green onions, in a bowl and then pour over the salmon. Turn the salmon to coat with marinade. Cover, marinate and refrigerate the salmon one hour.

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Line a baking pan with parchment paper. Set in the salmon. Place marinade in the dish into a small skillet. Bring to a simmer, and simmer until lightly thickened. Divide, spoon and spread this mixture on the salmon. Bake salmon for 12 to 15 minutes, or until just cooked through. Plate the salmon, sprinkle with green onion, garnish with lime slices and serve.

Recipe Options: Instead of salmon, try another type of fish in this recipe, such as halibut. Instead of rum, give the fish a boozy taste by using an equal amount of tequila. For a two citrus taste, replace half the lime juice and zest with orange juice and zest.
