Method

Bring a large pot of water to boil. Cut a shallow X at the blossom end of each peach. Cook in the boiling water 1 minute and then cool in ice-cold water. Carefully peel the peaches and then quarter. Place the peaches and remaining ingredients in a blender; puree. Pour into glasses; garnish with a wedges of peach, if desired.

Serving Suggestions

These smoothies are at their best when fresh, ripe, local peaches are in-season. These smoothie make a delicious breakfast drink, but could also be used as a "cool you down" treat to enjoy after an active of hiking, golfing or other summer activity.
