Method

Preheat the oven 375˚F. Place the oil in an ovenproof pot (the one used in this recipe was 8” and 4” tall) and set over medium, medium-high heat. When hot, add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 4 minutes. Add the next 7 ingredients and whisk to combine. Mix in the beans and ham. Bring the beans to a simmer. Simmer beans, uncovered, 10 minutes on the stovetop. Now cover and bake the beans in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes, and then serve.

Note: Compliments Six Bean Blend is sold in our canned bean aisle. It contains white and red kidney beans, chickpeas, black-eyed peas, romano beans and lima beans. Maple-flavoured ham is sold in our deli. Cut into about 1/4” to 1/2” cubes.
