Method

Gently boil the potatoes and garlic in a generous amount of water until very tender. Drain the potatoes well, ensuring the pieces of garlic stay in the pot with them. Thoroughly mash the potatoes and garlic. Mix in the milk, butter, green onion, salt and pepper.
