Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread one side of each baguette slice with 1 tsp. pesto. Set the baguette slices, pesto-side-up, on the baking sheet. Top each with a slice of Rotola and bake for 10 minutes, or just until the cheese melts and the bread is crispy on the bottom. Arrange the melts on a platter, decorate each with a fresh basil leaf, and serve.
Note: To get bite-sized melts, choose a baguette about 2 1/2” in width.
