Combine all ingredients, including the juice from the pineapple, in your slow cooker. Cover and cook on the low setting for 8 hours. If desired, serve sprinkled with sliced green onions.

Options: Make sweet and sour chicken by replacing the pork with an equal weight of boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into cubes. Make spicy, sweet and sour pork by adding 1 Tbsp. hot Asian-style chili sauce to the mix of ingredients used to flavour the pork.
