Method

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Place the meatball ingredients in a bowl and mix to combine. Roll into 1" balls and place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake 20 minutes, or until cooked through. Place the sauce ingredients in your slow cooker and stir to combine. Mix in the meatballs; cover and cook on the low setting for 8 hours.

Note: This recipe is designed for an oval-shaped slow cooker with a 5 litre or more capacity. When adding the pineapple, include the fruit and all of the juice.

Serving Suggestions

Serve these very tender meatballs on a bed of boiled Asian-style egg noodles or steamed white, jasmine or wholewheat rice. For added texture, sprinkle the meatballs, once plated, with toasted sesame seeds.
