Place the rice and cold water in a small pot and bring to a boil. Cover rice, turn the heat to its lowest setting, and cook 15 minutes, or until the rice is tender.
When rice is almost done, place the soup and prawns in a medium pot and bring to a simmer. Simmer 3 to 4 minutes.
When cooked, divide and mound rice among four shallow bowls. Spoon curry into each bowl. If desired, complement the curry with the cilantro and chutney, to taste. Serve with a green vegetable, such as stir-fried or steamed baby bok choy.
