Process flour, butter, shortening, salt and sugar until consistency of cornmeal. Add ice water slowly, up to 3 Tbsp, until the dough begins to form a ball. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Roll out dough 1/8" thick and place in a pie plate. Bake for 10 minutes.
Crush enough berries to create some juice and add remaining filling ingredients. Pour mixture into the shell. Bake for 40 minutes or until done. Cool to set the pie before serving.
